1. The short version
FIELDFOLIO helps you keep records of your work: photos, notes, checklists, phases, and reports. It does not tell you what the code requires, whether a job is safe, whether it will pass inspection, or whether a record will win a dispute or an insurance claim. You and the qualified people you work with make those calls.
2. Not professional advice
FIELDFOLIO is not a contractor, engineer, architect, electrician, plumber, HVAC technician, inspector, attorney, accountant, insurer, or safety adviser, and we are not a law firm. Nothing in the app, on the site, or in our emails is professional, engineering, legal, tax, insurance, or safety advice, and nothing creates a professional relationship with you. This page is not legal advice either.
3. Safety
Work on a job site can injure or kill people. Checklists, trade packs, phase lists, and templates in FIELDFOLIO are general reminders. They are not safety procedures. They may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong for your site, your trade, or your equipment. Follow the manufacturer instructions, your training, your employer’s safety rules, OSHA and other workplace safety requirements, and the judgment of a qualified person on site. Do not use a checklist item as a reason to skip a lockout, a test, a permit, or protective equipment.
4. Codes, permits, and inspections
Building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire, and energy codes differ by place and change over time. Local authorities decide what applies to your job and whether it passes. A checked box in FIELDFOLIO does not mean a job meets code. We do not promise that the checklists match any code edition or local amendment, and we do not promise that a job will pass inspection or receive a permit, license, certificate, or sign-off. Always check with the authority having jurisdiction.
5. Your records and what they prove
Photos, timestamps, notes, signatures, and reports from FIELDFOLIO are only as good as what you put in them. We do not verify when or where a photo was taken, who took it, what it shows, or that a signature belongs to the person named. Dates and times come from your device, which can be wrong. Photos may be resized or compressed. A report made with FIELDFOLIO is not a certified record, not a warranty on your work, and not a guarantee that it will be accepted by a customer, a general contractor, an insurer, an inspector, an arbitrator, or a court.
6. Insurance, legal, and payment outcomes
We do not promise that using FIELDFOLIO will lower your insurance cost, prevent or win a claim, protect you from a lawsuit or lien, or get you paid. Payment notes, change order fields, warranty fields, and similar items are record-keeping aids, not contracts. Check with your attorney, your insurer, and your accountant about what you need to do for your business, your state, and your contracts.
7. Measurements and calculations
Anything in FIELDFOLIO that looks like a measurement, a quantity, a size, a load, or a calculation is for your convenience only. Verify it yourself before you rely on it.
8. Third-party and customer content
We do not review or endorse what users, customers, subs, or general contractors enter or send. Links to other sites are not endorsements.
9. No guarantee
To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss, injury, damage, cost, or claim that comes from relying on FIELDFOLIO, its content, or its reports. The Terms and Conditions (sections 3, 6, 7, and 10) apply to everything on this page.
10. Questions
If something in the app looks wrong or out of date, tell us at [email protected] and we will look at it. That does not change anything above.
